Hope you're staying warm this January! Here's your weekly recap of Roswell's government meetings.

Last week's meetings

  • The Mayor and Council met on January 12 to swear in Mayor Mary Robichaux and new Councilmembers, elect Sarah Beeson as Mayor Pro Tem, and unanimously approve a temporary emergency moratorium on new data centers.
  • The Committees of Council met on January 13 to unanimously approve the initiation of text amendments to the Unified Development Code concerning Warehouse and Distribution, and approve a contract for the Water Treatment Plant Generator for up to $210,000.
  • The Historic Preservation Commission met on January 14 to approve their 2026 calendar, re-elect Philip Mansell as Chair, and approve Certificates of Appropriateness for additions at 52 Goulding Place and changes at 605 Atlanta Street.

Looking ahead

  • The Mayor and Council will meet on January 20 for a Leadership Conference to discuss economic development, review the five-year plan, establish 2026 goals, and receive updates on Capital Improvement Projects and the Service Delivery Strategy.
