Last week's meetings

The Mayor and Council Special Called Public Hearing on Millage Rate met on September 15 to discuss the 2025 millage rate, with CFO Bill Godshall illustrating that the current 4.949 millage rate for a $550,000 home would result in approximately $1,089 in property taxes, an increase of $69 annually compared to a rollback rate.
The Development Impact Fee Advisory Committee met on September 16 to receive a presentation on proposed draft impact fees and discuss the timeline for their adoption.

The Mayor and Council Special Called Meeting will meet on September 22 to consider an executive session to discuss personnel, litigation, and real estate, and review public participation guidelines.
The Mayor and Council will meet on September 22 to read proclamations for the Esteemed Veteran of Roswell Award and the 75th Annual Frances McGahee Youth Day Celebration, consider approving a $355,471 contract for a Stormwater Lining Package, and vote on the second reading of an Ordinance to Adopt a Millage Rate of 4.949 for Tax Year 2025.
The Committees of Council will meet on September 23 to consider awarding a $2,628,125 contract for the Roswell Area Park Pond Rehabilitation Project and a $4,690,000 contract for the E911 Call Center construction, and advance the "Slow Down in Roswell" traffic calming initiative.
The Planning Commission will meet on September 23 to review a preliminary plat for the Hill Street Overlay District, Area A, a 6.4-acre mixed-use development site, with staff recommending approval with conditions related to easements, utilities, and stormwater.
