Last week's meetings

• The Mayor and Council Special Called Public Hearing on Millage Rate met on September 15 to consider the proposed millage rate of 4.949 for Tax Year 2025, which includes 4.049 for General Fund Maintenance and Operations and 0.900 for Bonded Debt Service, representing no change from the previous rate and marking Roswell's lowest M&O millage rate in 17 years.
• The Historic Preservation Commission met on September 10 to review a Certificate of Appropriateness for the partial demolition and restoration of the historic structure at 1076 Canton Street, and to consider replacing a decaying railroad tie retaining wall at 52 Goulding Place with a concrete block retaining wall.
