Last week's meetings
- The Mayor and Council met on March 30 for an open forum where 27 citizens provided public comments on various topics.
- The Alcoholic Beverage License Board met on April 2 and unanimously approved a new Retail Package: Beer & Wine license for MERCADO LATINOS at 10479 Alpharetta St. Ste. 8.
- The Roswell Recreation Commission met on April 2 to consider approving the merger of the Roswell Youth Baseball Association (RYBA) and Roswell Youth Softball Association (RYSA) into a single entity, the Roswell Youth Baseball Softball Association (RYBSA), and reviewed the 2026 Capital Project List.
- The Roswell Recreation Commission Work Session met on April 2 to consider a proposal to merge the Roswell Youth Baseball Association (RYBA) and the Roswell Youth Softball Association (RYSA) booster clubs into a single entity, the Roswell Youth Baseball Softball Association (RYBSA), to align resources and streamline operations.
Looking ahead
- The Design Review Board will meet on April 7 to conduct an initial review for a proposed 25,840 square foot Rick Case Hyundai new car dealership at 11033 Alpharetta Highway, review exterior renovations for ALM Motors at 891 Mansell Road, and discuss a rezoning application for 74 three-story townhomes on Old Roswell Road.
- The Historic Preservation Commission will meet on April 8 to consider a change to a previously deferred partial demolition plan for 1076 Canton Street, review an application for the demolition of a historic duplex at 55 Maple Street, and consider a Certificate of Appropriateness for a new single-family residence at 55 Maple Street.
- The Planning Commission will meet on April 10 to consider a text amendment to the Unified Development Code (UDC) to clarify definitions and use standards for warehouse and distribution facilities, proposing to designate 'All warehouse and distribution' as a Conditional Use within the IX, Industrial Flex, Zoning District.
