Last week's meetings

  • The Design Review Board met on November 6 to unanimously approve a 35,866 square foot building expansion for Fellowship Christian School at 10965 Woodstock Rd.
  • The City of Roswell Alcoholic Beverage License Board met on November 6 to approve new retail package beer & wine licenses for two RaceTrac locations, new consumption on premises licenses for The Olive Garden Italian Restaurant and Georgian Corner, and a new wholesale/distributor license for Green Earth Distributing.
  • The Roswell Recreation Commission met on November 6 to consider the approval of a new booster club, 'Friends of the CAC', and updates to bylaw procedures for Roswell Dance Starz, Roswell Youth Theatre, and The Clay Collective.

Looking ahead

  • The Mayor and Council will meet on November 10 to present proclamations, consider a $2.4 million contract for Crabapple Center roof replacement, a $3.6 million contract for LED lighting conversion at athletic fields, and a $3.5 million contract for Grimes Bridge Soccer Fields construction, and review a conditional use permit for Up Massage.
  • The Mayor and Council will meet on November 10 to consider a recommendation for closure to discuss matters related to personnel, ongoing litigation, and real estate.
  • The Committees of Council will meet on November 10 to consider an MOU with American Medical Response (AMR) for traffic preemption system access, awarding a $12.3 million contract to MAPP for the Riverside Park Construction project, and a resolution to apply for a $32,000 Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant.
  • The Historic Preservation Commission will meet on November 12 to consider an after-the-fact application for exterior paint renovation at 617 Atlanta Street.
