Last week's meetings

  • The Mayor and Council met on October 14 to honor Captain Roger Hill and Timothy Britt, approve the 'Slow Down in Roswell' initiative, and receive the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2026.
  • The Mayor and Council Special Called Meeting met on October 14 to approve entering into a closed session for personnel, litigation, and real estate discussions.
  • The Committees of Council met on October 14 to approve a $3.19 million contract for the Woodstock Multi-Use Trail and authorize a $172,500 contract to convert tennis courts to pickleball courts at Crabapple Center.
  • The Board of Zoning Appeals met on October 16 to consider a stream buffer variance for the Mission Hills Court/Liberty Square Park area.

Looking ahead

  • The Mayor and Council Special Called Meeting will meet on October 20 for the first reading of the Fiscal Year 2026 Budget Ordinance, including proposed expenditures of $229.9 million and significant investments in public safety and capital projects.
  • The Development Impact Fee Advisory Committee will meet on October 21 to receive a presentation on proposed draft impact fees and discuss the adoption timeline.
