Last week's meetings

  • The Alcoholic Beverage License Board met on December 4 to unanimously approve new alcoholic beverage licenses for Bowlero Roswell, Sprouts Farmers Market #520, ALDI #16, From the Well, V & Z Food Mart, and Primrose Cottage by Wedgewood Weddings, and also approved all 2026 license renewals.
  • The Planning Commission met on December 5 to consider the renewal of preliminary plats for The Gardens at Sweet Apple and Cottages on Jones, both recommended for approval by staff after city department and Fulton County Health sign-offs.

Looking ahead

  • The Mayor and Council will meet on December 8 to discuss matters related to personnel, litigation, and real estate in a closed session.
  • The Mayor and Council will meet on December 8 to honor United States Army Personnel Specialist (E-5) Jeff Hamling and Sergeant Omar Braik, consider re-appointing Carol Williams to the Planning Commission, vote on the FY 2025 End of Year Budget Amendment, and consider the sale of 8.6 acres at 1340 Woodstock Road for $5,000,000.
  • The Committees of Council will meet on December 9 to review the proposed 2026 meeting calendar, consider submitting a Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG) project list for FY2026 to GDOT for road resurfacing, and approve right-of-way acquisition services for the Etris Road Multi-use Trail and Cox Road Intersections TSPLOST projects.
  • The Design Review Board will meet on December 9 to conduct an initial review for Phase 2 of the Chattahoochee Nature Center renovations, including a 4,900 sq ft building expansion, and discuss a conditional use application for a new QuikTrip service station at 1050 Holcomb Bridge Road.
