As the leaves begin to turn, Roswell's local government remains busy with important decisions and upcoming discussions. Here's your update on what happened last week and what's on the horizon.

Last week's meetings

  • The Committees of Council met on September 23 to approve contracts for the Roswell Area Park Pond Rehabilitation Project ($2,628,125) and the E911 Call Center Construction Project ($4,690,000), and to advance the "Slow Down in Roswell" traffic calming initiative.
  • The Planning Commission met on September 23 to review a preliminary plat for the Hill Street Mixed-Use Development and discuss the Hill Street Overlay District (HSOD) Ordinance.

Looking ahead

  • The Mayor and Council Open Forum will meet on September 29 to present the Esteemed Veteran of Roswell Award to United States Army E-4 Specialist Richard Heneghan and hold a public comment period.
  • The City of Roswell Alcoholic Beverage License Board will meet on October 2 to hold a public hearing on new alcoholic beverage license applications for CVS PHARMACY #3125 (895 Holcomb Bridge Road), BIZARRE COFFEE (1090 Alpharetta St.), and VILA CREPE & CAFE (1133 Woodstock Rd. Suite 120).
