Busy week in Roswell this week!

Last week's meetings

  • The Design Review Board met on May 5 to unanimously approve renovation and new construction projects at 2181 Strickland Road and 480 West Crossville Road.
  • The Alcoholic Beverage License Board met on May 7 to review minutes and consider new microbrewery/distillery and beer/wine licenses for businesses at 43 Magnolia Street and 720 Holcomb Bridge Rd.

Looking ahead

  • The Mayor and Council will meet on May 11 to consider the 27th Annual Roswell Remembers Memorial Day Celebration, an MOU for a new veteran's home, and pursue a Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant for traffic calming and multi-use trails. They will also hold first readings for UDC amendments regarding horse stables, warehouse definitions, and parking, and amendments to the Code of Ordinances for "inoperable motor vehicle" definition and prohibiting bulky items in dumpsters.
  • The Committees of Council will meet on May 12 to discuss the draft TSPLOST 3 project list, review the First Quarter FY2026 Management Review, and consider the 2026 Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant.
  • The Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on May 12 to review a variance request for equipment screening at 1350 Northmeadow Parkway for PBS Aerospace Inc. and a variance request for a rear setback reduction at 235 Brook Valley Drive for a screened porch addition.
  • The Historic Preservation Commission will meet on May 13 to review applications for Certificates of Appropriateness for a commercial addition at 1014 Canton Street and new single-family residences at 660 Elm Street and 55 Maple Street.
