Last week's meetings

  • The Mayor and Council met on September 8 to consider adopting a millage rate of 4.949 for Tax Year 2025 and to approve the issuance of Downtown Development Authority Revenue Bonds not exceeding $25,000,000 for the Hill Street parking deck project.
  • The Committees of Council met on September 9 to consider awarding a contract of $355,471 to Inliner Solutions, LLC for stormwater pipe rehabilitation and to review a new 15-year Intergovernmental Agreement with Fulton County for water service and sewer billing.
  • The Mayor and Council Special Called Meeting met on September 8 to consider closing the meeting for an executive session to discuss personnel, litigation, and real estate matters.
  • The Board of Zoning Appeals met on September 9 to consider parking variance requests for a dental office at 9410 Willeo Road, seeking to allow on-site parking between the building and street and to increase maximum parking to 32 spaces.
  • The Historic Preservation Commission met on September 10 to review a Certificate of Appropriateness for the partial demolition and restoration of the historic structure at 1076 Canton Street due to extensive deterioration.
